NGOZI OKPALAKUNNE
Ngozi Okpalakunne is a graduate of Mass Communication and a Master's degree holder in International Relations and Strategic Studies from Lagos State University.
She started her journalism career as a reporter on the Women Desk of Champion Newspaper in 2001.
Ngozi rose to become the head of Women Desk in Champion Newspaper.
In 2013, she joined News watch Times as the Feature Editor and later moved on to National Mirror as the Feature Editor in 2016.
In 2017, she left National Mirror for Business Day as a Columnist till date.
Also, she is a part time Senior lecturer in the Media and Communication Department of NIPEM Professional Education Management, an affiliate of High stone Global University, Texas.
Due to the high level of commitment she demonstrated in reporting women issues in 2008, Ngozi was selected by an international organisation based in the US to cover the United Nations Convention on the Elimination of all Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW) preceding which held at UN headquarters in New York.
In 2011, she was selected by the US Department of States to participate in the prestigious US Exchange programme known as the International Visitor Leadership Programme (IVLP), where she visited five States in the US.
In 2013, she emerged the overall winner of the maiden edition of Quail Media award organised by a multinational, Promassidor. An award that granted her the opportunity to undergo a certificate course in the Department of Media and Communication of Lagos Business School.
Ngozi is a Christian and married to Dr. Gilbert Okpalakunne, the union is blessed with two children.
